Hopefully much of the worse winter weather is out the way and we can start to look forward to warmer weather and less ice and snow. During winter it is really hard to keep your car clean as the wet conditions make for a mud bath when driving and can very quickly dirty your car. Not only is it the mud than can make a mess of a clean car but also the salt on the roads. Have you ever noticed a white layer or residue on your vehicle? It is most likely caused by salt from the grit in the roads.
The inside of the vehicle is also very hard to keep clean as you may be getting in and out with muddy feet. If you have a dog whom you take out in the car for walks, then you will likely find a lot of mud transfers from the pet to your boot or footwell. Never try and clean up wet mud from seats or carpets, always leave the mud to dry first before vacuuming it up. As the weather gets better, start to try and clean the vehicle at least every couple of weeks and more often if it gets really dirty. It can be tempting to leave it until the summer months but by then, irreversible damage may of been caused.
