No one likes having issues with their car and often as soon as they notice something isn’t quite right the pop along to their local garage to get it fixed. But there are times when your local garage may not be able to help you and instead you need to take it to a specialist repair workshop. This is often the case for certain classic cars or prestige cars but also can be simply due to the repair that needs doing.
It may be that your car has suffered damage to a wheel or the chassis and it will need to straighten out on a jog. Not all independent garages have this equipment so you may have to call round to find a garage that does have one.
If you are looking for a garage to carry out a service or general repair then you can take it anywhere (there may be stipulations if it is under a warranty) but you may choose to take it to a garage that specialises in working on your make/ model of vehicle as they are more likely to do it correctly and know what to look out for if something needs investigating as they will have more experience.
