If you have some spare time and also some spare money, you may want to consider buying a car that requires some work. People do this for a number of reasons, some people chose to buy old vintage cars and restore them back to their former glory either to keep or to sell on for a profit. Other people chose to buy standard vehicles that they can repair and get back on the road to sell to make a quick buck. For whatever reason you choose to buy a car you should always ensure that you know what you’re doing or have someone working along side you that does. Buying a car that is in need of repair can be a risky business. You should never trust the word of the seller that they know all that is wrong with the vehicle without having a professional look over it for you. They may not necessarily be lying but may not be aware of the full extent of the repairs required.
When working out if there is a profit in the vehicle, do not forget to put in a cost for the time you are going to have to spend on it. There is no point in making a hundred pounds profit on the parts if you have had to spend weeks repairing it for no money. Some people do chose to do this as a hobby so are not too concerned about making a huge profit as long as they don’t make a huge loss.
