Is it worth paying extra for tyres?

Tyres are something that all car owners have to fork out on at some point. You may even find that you replace a tyre to then drive over something in the road a few days later which punctures it and have to pay to have it replaced again. Depending on how many mailed you do, you may have to change your tyres more than once a year and this can quickly add up.

When it comes to choosing your tyres, you can often choose between budget tyres, midrange and top quality. Some garages will just quote you a flat price but that probably means they are quoting you for budgets to keep the price down. Everyone has to weigh up for themselves what is the best sorts of tyres to choose from. If you don’t do a massive amount of driving and tend to avoid driving if it’s really wet or icy then budget tyres will probably be fine. If you use your car daily and have to drive all weathers then it really may be worth investing a bit more. Tyres not only affect the grip and braking distance of your vehicle but they can also affect the road noise and fuel economy. This should also be taken into consideration when choosing your tyres.
