Tyres are not cheap, in fact a full set of standard tyres can cost upwards of around £200 including balancing and tracking so it’s vital that you take good care of your tyres to ensure that you get the maximum use out of them.
Ensure that they are inflated to the correct pressure, this is not a standard universal thing and the correct tyre pressure is based on the car, the type of tyre and the sort of load that the car is carrying so if in doubt check the cars manual and the tyre wall. Correct tyre pressure is more economical, safer and will maximise the use you get out of your tyres.
Check the tyres regularly for any external damage, this may be small cuts, bulges or bumps in the tyre wall or even could be something embedded into the tyre such as glass or stones. If you notice any damage book in at your nearest garage and get it checked and repaired ASAP.
