With summer fast on its way it’s time to start thinking about your car and making sure that it si ready for the road. It may be that you are going on holiday and will be driving a good distance over summer, so it’s vital that your car is in good shape to make the journey and try to avoid anything going wrong.

With the weather getting warmer it is important to keep cool and not only yourself but your vehicle too. In addition to checking the level of coolant fluid in your car, go the extra mile and inspect the state of the hoses and the coolant reservoir. Always keep your coolant topped up as much as you can and keep an eye on that temperature gauge when driving, if it starts to creep in to the red then pull over immediately to check.

Although its summer, the chances are we will still get a fair amount of rain. After a harsh winter wiper blades can become damaged and so it is important to check if they are clearing your screen correctly. Replacing wiper blades is often very cheap and if you don’t feel confident enough in doing it yourself then many car parts shops or garages will replace them for you.
